Happy St. Patty's Day!

One of my favorite things that is green...

I would say...grass.  In the summer when you can walk through grass without your shoes on...yup...that's my pick.

I used to think that God's favorite color was green, because, almost everything is green...trees, bushes, grass...etc.  I wanted Him to make everything a different color.  You know, like trees could be purple, bushes could be orange...yada yada.  BUT, one day, as i was thanking Jesus for the sunset i realized why He did it that way...for me at least.  I don't think i would notice the sunset/sunrise everyday if i was surrounded by those colors constantly.  That is probably one of the main ways the Lord shows me He loves me...and i don't think i would be as affected if i weren't surrounded by green all the time...ya know?

Okay..i think about this verse a lot...striving to know that love that surpasses knowledge..to grasp maybe just a glimps of it.  Sometimes i know it more than others.  I want to be able to rest in it...daily...every minute.  He is able to do more than I can even imagine....He is continually at work within us.  In Philippians 1:6 it says 'He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion...'  What a beautiful promise of His faithfulness.  That He will provide everything we need for life and Godliness.

I'm overwhelmed with His beauty.  When you're able to sit back, and not be in control...He shows you His face, His faithfulness, His love, more than you'll ever know.  Trust me my daughter...so that MY glroy will be made known!

When i opened my door this morning to leave for work, the strongest, most beautiful smell hit me like a ton o' bricks.  Rain.  I felt wrapped up in the fresh, beautiful smell.  I felt like my Jesus wrapped His arms around me and said, Good morning my princess, I love you.  It was overwhelming.  Completely and utterly overwhelming.  I thought about if my Jesus were in human form again, on this earth right now, would this be His "smell"?  You know how people have certain smells that are just 'them'?  Like my grandma and her house, when i smell that smell i am filled with joy because it reminds me of all my family together and the laughter that that brings. My momma and dad, my brothers, my sisters...(though not always pleasant)...it's like it is part of their identity...you know what i mean?  It's funny to me how after i've stayed with someone for a while, when i get back and un pack my clothes it smells like that person that i was with.  When  you're around someone long enough, you begin to smell like them.  Interesting.  Sometimes when i get girly and start thinking about my husband, i think, ' what will his smell be?  What will OUR smell be?'  That is beautiful to me.

2 Cor 2:14-16 - But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?

Shutup, i know!  We are to BE the FRAGRANCE of CHRIST!  Do i smell like death today, or do i smell like life?

Smell what i'm steppin in? (bahahahah...) Sorry...couldn't stop myself.  Seriously though...think about that..
